When choosing a hotel, you have to first consider what time of year you would like to travel. Some seasons are much busier than others. Compare hotel prices. Avoid choosing a romantic Long Island hotel based solely on price. Remember, you get what you pay for. Just because a hotel offers the best rates in town doesn’t necessarily mean that it offers the best service.

Rate location. Depending on what you are looking for in a hotel, it is a good idea to rate distance. Pets. If you are thinking about bringing along your cat or dog, make sure you check with the hotel you’re staying at to see if they are pet-friendly. You wouldn’t want to bring along Fuzzball or Rex only to discover the hotel doesn’t allow pets.
